It is a little after 1:00 in the morning, Mountain Time, and I can’t sleep. Instead of playing anymore silly games on my phone, I thought I would make better use of my time and tell you what’s going on here in Utah.
Barry is still actively looking for a couple of part time jobs. He has a few people he is meeting with tomorrow so we are praying for one or more of those to turn into something. He needs the work to supplement the income we need to live but it has to be part time and flexible enough to allow ministry work as well. God has a plan, we are just trying to be patient and wait on His timing.
Later this week, Barry is having dinner with an LDS gentlemen named Justin. He wants to meet and discuss the great commission from his perspective and question Barry on the Christian viewpoint. We are very excited about this opportunity. Barry is preparing and is looking forward to meeting with Justin.
There is an intern at UPFC for another week or so named Ariah. We are having her over for dinner on Tuesday night and we are looking forward to that. Then on Thursday and Friday of this week, we will be devoting most of the day to cleaning and organizing the blue house. Russ is out of town visiting his father who is having health issues and we’d like to have the house looking good when he comes back.
I have ordered all our homeschool materials and should have it all in hand by Tuesday. We plan to start our first day of homeschool on the 19th. So, for this last week of summer, the Littles and I are taking advantage of some of the free things to do in Ogden. There is a great program here that offers free deals during the summer. It’s almost over, so we plan to try to work in as much as we can!
Barry’s job situation which includes our financial support and the ability to find a home to rent.
The meeting with Justin – Barry’s words to be God’s words and Justin’s heart to be open to the truth of the gospel.
The health issues that Russ’s father is going through. Peace and wisdom for Russ & his family.
Our new normal to begin to feel normal. The Littles and I have had some rough moments. Pray for those to become fewer and farther between.
Ok, I think I should try my hand at sleeping again. Did I mention how much y’all mean to us? You do!
